The Great Yorkshire Show goes digital for 2020

This week, get ready to experience the Great Yorkshire "VIRTUAL" Show!

Taking place from Tuesday 14th July through to Thursday 16th July, the show's special 3-day virtual programme is accessible completely free on the show's website and as always, aims to "champion and celebrate farming, food and the countryside."

Going virtual for the first time

Despite the huge impact of the coronavirus pandemic which led to the cancellation of this iconic annual event in its usual well-loved format at the Great Yorkshire Showground - in true Yorkshire spirit - the show must go on!

For the first time in the show's 162-year history, the full programme of events are being delivered entirely online. For reference, the only other times that the show has been cancelled since its foundation in 1837, were in 2012 due to heavy rain, the 2001 'Foot and Mouth' epidemic, and the First and Second World Wars.

What's On

We're taking part in a virtual cheese making tour from 11am on Tuesday 14th July, taking viewers behind the scenes at Shepherds Purse, following the production of one of our famous products from milk to finished cheese!

And, as an added treat, we have launched a Great Yorkshire Show themed competition, with an amazing artisan cheese gift box up for grabs for one lucky winner!

To enter, simply go to this page and complete the quick entry form, telling us what you're most looking forward to about this year's Great Yorkshire Show in its new virtual format.

We're excited to be taking part again in the Great Yorkshire Show for 2020, and roll on 2021 when we will be able to see you all in person again at our stall.

Enjoy!
